Dr. Marcus Otte specializes in medieval and early modern scholasticism鈥攅specially in general metaphysics, the philosophy of God, and philosophical psychology. His research is focused on bringing scholastically-informed answers to questions in analytic philosophy. He believes 鈥渆clectic鈥� should not be a bad word among Catholic philosophers, given the richness of our tradition outside of Thomism. If someone called him a nominalist and a voluntarist, he would not deny, but he would distinguish.
